Porter & MacLean Livestock Management Inc. is a progressive cattle order buying, cattle management, and financing company located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada - the heart of cattle country. Our location is central to the most concentrated cattle feeding area in Canada - an area that also boasts some of the best feeder cattle genetics in North America.

Porter & MacLean Livestock Management Inc. is the amalgamation of two established livestock businesses: Porter Livestock, owned and operated by Rick Porter, and MacLean Cattle Company Ltd., owned and operated by Chuck MacLean.

The progressive nature of both MacLean Cattle Company Ltd. and Porter Livestock lead to the integration of these two long-standing, well-respected businesses. The development of this unique livestock management company was initiated by the desire to provide an even greater service to their clients as well as to capture the synergies of a larger organization.

Porter & MacLean Livestock Management Inc. commenced operations in the fall of 1999. In a short period of time, Porter & MacLean has established itself as a major cattle management firm in Western Canada. In addition to maintaining their former respective customer bases, many new and welcomed faces have been added to those who benefit from the variety of services provided by Porter & MacLean. A common thread is shared amongst these customers: an appreciation for dedicated, honest folk who strive to earn their customer's long-term satisfaction.
